Dean Edmundson - Tenor

Dean was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, USA. He studied Voice Performance at Western Washington University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. Prior to joining the Vancouver Chamber Choir full-time in 2001, Dean had been a frequent substitute in the tenor section. He has also sung with other local choirs, including the Vancouver Cantata Singers and Chor Leoni Men's Choir. Dean's previous career was as a high school music teacher. For the past several years, Dean has managed Access Arts Network, a performing arts support network which he revived in 1998. A favourite tour memory of Dean's occurred in 2002 in Leon, Mexico. As the Choir sang A Garden of Bells, the bells from the local churches chimed, which created an unorchestrated but fascinating musical event.
