Thom Geise - Tenor
![]() |
Thom was born and raised in California where he sang in choirs since his
early childhood. He is a graduate of the Music Program at California
State University.
Thom became involved with the VCC as a substitute singer prior to joining the Choir full time in 1978. Since 1970, Thom has catalogued music and performed reference work for the University of British Columbia Music Library, a position that enables him to provide reference and music materials for the Choir and its individual soloists/conductors/teachers. One of Thom's more moving experiences with the VCC was during the Choir's 1989 tour of the Soviet Union. The audience's overwhelming response following the Choir's performance of R. Murray Schafer's /A Garden of Bells/ in the Bolshoi Hall at the Moscow Conservatory was absolutely astonishing! |
